Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar have been at loggerheads for a very long time. They never leave a chance to call out each other and take potshots. The actress is currently gearing up for her much-delayed release Emergency. During an appearance at a reality show, Kangana Ranaut was asked about Karan Johar and in return she has offered a movie to him.
Kangana Ranaut offers a film to Karan Johar
On her recent appearance on singing reality show Indian Idol 15, Kangana was asked if she’d still act in a movie produced by Karan’s banner Dharma Productions. Given their ongoing cold war, Kangana laughed and responded, “I’m sorry to say, but Karan sir ko mere saath movie karna chahiye (should do a movie with me). I’ll give him a very good role and I’ll make a very good film, which will not be saas-bahu ki chuglibaazi and which will not be just, you know, PR exercise. It will be a proper film and he’ll get a proper role.”
Times Kangana took a dig at Karan Johar
Over the years, Kangana Ranaut has slammed Karan Johar repeatedly. Back in 2017, Kangana appeared on an episode of Koffee with Karan season 5 alongside her Rangoon co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor. In his infamous Rapid Fire segment, Karan asked Kangana who she sees as the villain in her biopic, Kangana pointed at him and said, “The flag-bearer of nepotism,” much to his shock. She even tagged him as a movie mafia.
Kangana has repeatedly taken digs KJo. She has called him out for sabotaging Anushka Sharma’s career. The actress also accused filmmaker of ‘harassing’ Priyanka Chopra to the point where ‘she had to leave India’. She even alleged him of murdering Sushant Singh Rajput.
About Emergency
Talking about the political drama, the actress will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is drama, written, directed, and co-produced by Kangana. It will release in theatres on January 17 and also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman. The movie was planned to be released in theatres on September 6. It got postponed owing to censor board certification issues. Several Sikh organisations have also opposed the film’s release, arguing it negatively portrays the community.
